Taj Mahal Quartzite
Taj Mahal Quartzite has a warm beige base crossed by gentle veins of grey and orange, giving it the soft look of marble with the strength of quartzite. Hand-picked from Brazilian quarries, it is one of our most requested marble-look stones for Sydney kitchens. Importantly, it is a natural quartzite, not a marble and not an engineered quartz, so it offers the elegance people love about marble with far better day-to-day durability.
Key Benefits of Taj Mahal Quartzite
As a quartzite, Taj Mahal is hard (around 7 on the Mohs scale), heat- and scratch-resistant, which makes it well-suited for a working kitchen as well as a feature wall. Unlike marble, it will not etch from everyday acids like lemon juice or wine, so it is forgiving in daily use. Its low porosity means it only needs sealing every two to three years, less often than marble. The beige and warm-toned veining reads as a soft block of colour across a room and holds the eye up close, pairing well with both timber and white joinery.
Best for: kitchen benchtops, splashbacks, feature walls and bathroom vanities.
After 20 years supplying natural stone across Sydney and Newcastle, we have found Taj Mahal to be one of the easiest marble-look quartzites to live with. See it in person at our Greenacre or Beresfield showroom, since photos do not capture its depth and movement.

Zebrano Quartzite is a dramatically striking natural stone with a bold white and grey background swept by thick, sweeping black veins that flow across each slab in confident, rhythmic waves that command immediate and undivided attention. Named after the distinctively striped zebra wood, the stone’s graphic, high contrast patterning carries a natural boldness and intentionality that sets it firmly apart from more subtly patterned stones, making it an unapologetic statement material for those who want their surfaces to speak with genuine authority. The thick black veining moves across the lighter foundation with a purposeful, rhythmic energy that feels both powerfully dramatic and naturally beautiful, creating a surface that is as visually compelling from across the room as it is up close. Its leathered finish adds a wonderful tactile depth that softens the stone’s dramatic appearance slightly while beautifully enhancing its natural texture and contemporary edge. As a quartzite, Zebrano delivers excellent durability, heat resistance and scratch resistance, making it as practical as it is visually extraordinary for high-use applications. Perfectly suited to feature walls, statement kitchen islands, bathroom vanities and fireplace surrounds, it pairs beautifully with contemporary minimalist interiors, warm timber cabinetry and brushed brass accents.
Portoro Quartzite is a genuinely luxurious natural stone with an intense black background dramatically intersected by warm rust coloured veining and shimmering silver translucent crystals that scatter across the surface with a bold, jewel-like brilliance. The interplay between the deep, authoritative black foundation, the earthy warmth of the rust veining and the luminous silver crystalline inclusions creates a surface of extraordinary visual complexity and depth, catching light from every angle and revealing new layers of colour and movement as it shifts throughout the day. The high movement patterning gives each slab a dynamic, energetic character that feels both powerfully dramatic and deeply sophisticated, making every installation a genuinely distinctive statement of natural luxury. The versatility of the distinctive veining allows Portoro to transition beautifully from large format feature walls and expansive kitchen islands through to more intimate, detailed applications where the intricate patterning can be appreciated at closer range. Perfectly suited to statement benchtops, feature walls, bathroom vanities and luxury commercial fitouts, Portoro Quartzite pairs beautifully with brushed gold and bronze fixtures, warm timber cabinetry and both crisp white and deep charcoal joinery, bringing a bold and breathtaking dark sophistication to any interior that embraces the extraordinary drama of premium natural stone.
Patagonia Quartzite is a breathtaking natural stone that captures the wild, dramatic beauty of its South American namesake within every slab. A muted, neutral background is swept with vibrant, intricate veining in a kaleidoscope of colours and patterns that shift and move across the surface like the dramatic landscapes of the Patagonian wilderness itself, each slab carrying its own unique interpretation of this extraordinary natural artistry. The ethereal interplay of colour and pattern creates a surface that feels simultaneously chaotic and harmonious, raw and refined, possessing a natural energy and visual depth that manufactured materials simply cannot replicate. As a quartzite, Patagonia offers exceptional resistance to heat and scratching, delivering the strength and durability needed for high-use applications without ever compromising on its remarkable aesthetic appeal. Perfectly suited to kitchen benchtops, feature walls, statement islands and luxury bathroom vanities, Patagonia Quartzite brings an unmatchable combination of natural beauty, outstanding durability and a genuine sense of wild, untamed magnificence to any interior fortunate enough to showcase it.
Infinity White Quartzite presents a clean, neutral grey background that serves as a sophisticated canvas for bold, dark, angular veining that cuts across each slab with a striking architectural confidence. The sharp, geometric quality of the veining creates a compelling visual contrast against the softer grey foundation, adding a sense of movement and depth that feels both naturally formed and elegantly structured. As a quartzite, Infinity White offers exceptional durability and natural strength, making it as well suited to the demands of a busy kitchen benchtop as it is to a dramatic feature wall or refined bathroom vanity. Its versatile neutral palette integrates beautifully across a wide range of interior styles, from clean contemporary spaces to more traditional design schemes, bringing a timeless sophistication and quiet natural beauty to any application it graces.
