Calacatta Vagli Marble
Calacatta Vagli is an Italian marble with a warm, creamy white base and grey and gold veining that breaks into a brecciated, fragmented pattern rather than running in straight lines. Quarried in the Vagli area of Tuscany, part of the historic Carrara marble region, each slab carries its own movement, so no two are alike.
The scattered gold and grey veins give the surface real depth, catching the light through the day and reading as a soft, warm block of colour across a room. As a marble it is porous and softer than quartzite or granite, so it can etch from acidic spills and benefits from sealing every one to two years, with spills wiped up promptly.
Best for: kitchen islands, benchtops, feature walls, shower niches and fireplace surrounds.

Austral Dream Dolomite has soft cream tones carrying delicate white and gold veining, giving it a warmth that sits comfortably in a room rather than demanding attention. It is the kind of stone people choose when they want calm rather than drama.
You may see it searched as Austral Dream quartzite or Austral Dream marble, but it is a natural dolomite. Dolomite generally sits between marble and quartzite. It is harder and more forgiving than marble, but softer than quartzite, which gives Austral Dream the soft, veined look people love in marble with a little more resilience for everyday use.
In the kitchen, Austral Dream suits benchtops, islands and waterfall ends where a marble might worry you. Its cream base works with white, timber and darker joinery, and the gentle veining is easier to match across joins than a bolder stone. It also works well on bathroom vanities, feature walls and splashbacks, and pairs easily with brass or bronze fixtures.
Our current Austral Dream slabs are 20 mm thick with a honed finish, from about 2820 to 3200 mm long and 1700 to 1760 mm high. Each slab is shown below with its code and size, so you can choose the exact piece for your project.
Like any natural stone, dolomite is porous. Have it sealed when it is installed, reseal as your supplier or sealer manufacturer recommends, and wipe up acidic spills such as lemon juice or wine promptly to keep the honed finish even.
